US SECRETARY OF STATE, HILLARY CLINTON TO VISIT NIGERIA

US secretary of state, Hillary Clinton is due to visit Nigeria early next month according to Thisday newspapers. The visit has not been officially announced by the United States Government sources at the state department said preparations were in top gear for Mrs Clinton to visit Abuja early August on a one day trip.
 It was learnt that Nigeria's Ambassador to the US professor Adebowale Adefuye has held several meetings with officials of the US government on the planned visit. Though Thisday could not confirm the exact date of the planned visit it was learnt that Mrs Clinton's itinerary will include meeting with top Nigerian officials in Abuja and may also announce some major gains of the Nigeria - US bi-national commission.
