Some members of the House of Representatives are threatening to embark on impeacment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan if the 2012 budget is not properly implemented.The law makers are aggravated by the fact that the Government is judiciously implementing the Recurrent expenditure part of the budget for it's day to day activities while neglecting the implementation of the Capital aspect of the budget which is critical for the development of any economy ( to cut a long story short,i think that means contracts are not being awarded hot, hot)
A member of the house Mr Sam-Tsokwa described the budget implementation as an annual failure, saying only 30 percent of the capital expenditure was implemented on average.
