OPRAH MAKES INDIANS MAD

Oprah can't seem to get anything right since she embarked on her next chapter after stepping down from hugely successful ''Oprah show'' in 2011. First was the 50cent interview, which disappointed American's  because of the hypocrisy of not interviewing rappers on principle when she had a successful show and then going back on those same principles to increase ratings for her new show.
Next came the ''Keeping up with the Kardashians'' interview. Many felt she descended to a new low by interviewing a family that rose to prominence on the back of a sex tape. Now she's done it again! She's pissed the Indians off this time. The talk show queen was in India to film a two-part series on Indian culture. She interacted with people ranging from a family of five living in a 10 foot by 10 foot room in a Mumbai slum to Bollywood royalty Aishwarya Rai and Abishek Bachchan.
Many Indians had a problem with the stereotyped image of the Indian people she chose to project and were particularly upset when she made an ''issue'' out of the fact that Indians still ate with their hands. ''honestly this Oprah Winfrey has made such a royal fool of herself with this'' Nandita Lyer tweeted. ''Myopic, unaware, ignorant and gauche. This was middle America at it's best worst'' wrote  Mrs Sen. She found Oprah's comments on Indians still eating with their hands particularly offensive ''I don't know what people in America are eating their hotdogs, pizza's and taco's with but perhaps Oprah's home has evolved cutlery for all that''. ''the shocking arrogance of a clueless, rich woman'' wrote Aseem Chabra.
