PLANNED DEMOLITION IN 19 ABUJA TOWNSHIPS

The Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) is embarking on a demolition exercise on illegal structures in Abuja. The Public relations officer of the organisation, Mrs Josie Mudashiru told Nigerian eye on Monday that the demolition would affect only property without genuine land allocation documents and(or) building approval. She explained that the would be carried out in 19 communities as part of measures to rid the FCT of illegal structures.
The civil legislative advocacy centre has criticised the FCT administration over the planned demolition calling it insensitive and inhuman.
