The National union of petroleum and natural gas workers and the Jetties and petroleum tank farm owners association have suspended their two day old strike. The two organisations released a joint communique signed by representatives of NUPENG and JEPTFON, The Group managing director of NNPC, Executive secretary Petroleum product pricing regulatory agency, Minister of state for finance and the Minister of Labour.
NUPENG had embarked on the strike over non payment of 2012 petroleum subsidy arrears, the state of the refineries, bad roads and the restructuring of loans of JEPTFON members.
