''Jennifa'' actress Funke Akindele is starting a programme to enlighten people about HIV/AIDS. The actress talked about a friend who died of the disease ''i had a friend who had AIDS and died of it. The person couldn't open up because of the fear of stigmatisation. If she had opened up in time , we might have been able to save her life''.
This is such a laudable initiative. There is so much fear and ignorance about HIV and Aids in our society, a lot of the stigmatisation of carriers is because people are still so poorly informed. Great job, Funke.
