RIHANNA LOSES GRAND-MOTHER TO CANCER

Singer Rihanna is in mourning, she lost her grandmother Clara Dolly Braithwaite to cancer this morning.The singer was performing at Sweden's ''love and peace'' music festival where she gave a shaky, low key performance to the disappointment of her fans. Fans and well wishers have shown her a lot of love, sending genuinely heartfelt messages to her.Joyce Hawkins (chris browns mom) tweeted a heartfelt message to Rihanna saying'' angel may God be with you and your family in your time of sorrow, love you angel'' to which Rihanna responded ''thank you, love you mama.'' Chris also sent his condolences ''praying for family and the lost loved one. she was like my grandmother. love you GRAN GRAN!RIP''.

JIMMY'S JUMP OFF HOLDS TODAY

The third edition of DJ Jimmy Jatt's uber succesful show Jimmy's Jump off is happening today at the GET Arena, Oniru, Victoria Island . This years show will feature a line-up of top Nigerian  DJ's including DJ Waxxy, DJ Humility,DJ exclusive, DJ neptune, DJ spinall, DJ caise, DJ sose, DJ tony blaize, DJ xgee, DJ snoop da damager and DJ big N.

YAW CARRIES OLYMPIC TORCH

Today is day 44 of the Olympic torch relay. The torch will be carried from Birmingham through to Coventry. Yaw is the first on the Nigerian contingent to participate in the torch carrying ceremony, Banky W will be carrying the torch at 6.15pm this evening and handing it to Kanu Nwankwo. Funke Akindele and Sasha are also taking part today.

THINK LIKE A MAN TO GET SEQUEL

Sony made it official - ''Think like a man'' the hilarious African american ensemble cast comedy based on comedian Steve Harvey's best selling book ''act like a lady,think like a man'' is getting a sequel. The movie did extremely well at the box office grossing $91 million in the U.S alone with a production budget of $12.5million. The cast comprising Micheal Ealy, Taraji.P.Henson, Gabrielle Union, Terence Jenkins and Romany Malco were so much fun to watch. Kevin Hart was hilarious as usual but the actor who made my day was Romany Malco who played Zeke - the player who was on a 90 day wait for mya's xxxxxx.
Great movie, if you haven't seen it, run to silverbird cinemas, it's still showing there.

DOG NURSES KITTENS AFTER THEIR MOM DIES

Molly a two year old American bulldog gave birth to a litter of puppies six weeks ago. Her cat friend ''kitty kitty'' gave birth to a couple of kittens the next day but was hit by a car and died, so Molly adopted kitty kitty's kittens and is raising them as her own,
The kittens, one orange, one white, one grey and white and one with siamese type markings follow Molly around as if she was their biological mother and they don't seem to notice the difference. It's weird but wonderful.

REPAIR OF 3RD MAINLAND BRIDGE POSTPONED INDEFINITELY

Hurrraaaaaay! the proposed repair of 3rd mainland bridge by the Federal road maintenance agency (FERMA) has been post-poned indefinitely. i can hear the sighs of relief from where I sit. The last repair exercise was one of the most hellish experience Lagosians have ever been put through.
