BOKO HARAM SUICIDE BOMBERS HIT TWO POLICE STATIONS IN SOKOTO STATE

Two separate suicide bombing attacks by the dreaded Boko Haram occurred in Sokoto today. A suicide bomber driving a car rigged with an explosive device drove into the office of the Assistant inspector general of police in the city killing a police and injuring several others.
Another bomber attacked Unguwar rogo police station in the metropolis, the number of casualties in the second attack is unknown at present. This attack is coming on the heels of yesterday's attack in Kano where a gun battle took place near a mosque when Muslims were observing their Ramadan prayers killing eight people. It's unclear who was behind the Kano attacks, no group has come out to claim responsibility.

NYSC TO VOID POSTING OF CORPERS TO YOBE AND BORNO STATES

The NYSC has voided the posting of youth corpers to Yobe and Borno states and will be reposting them to less violence prone states. Corpers who were posted to other Northern states such as Gombe, Bauchi, Plateau, Kano and Kaduna who have not yet reported for duty have been directed to report to the NYSC directorate headquarters in Abuja for redeployment.
The re-scheduled orientation will hold from Thursday 26th of July to Thursday 16th of August
