The top Nigerian acts are in Ghana for the second edition of the ''Ghana meets Nigeria'' concert . They will be up against rival Ghanaian superstars 4x4, Kaakie, Guru, Kwaw Kesse, Keche, R2Bees, Chemphe, Bino and Sala. The organisers of the concert, Empire entertainment maintain that the concert is aimed at fostering unity between Nigeria and Ghana and celebrating the similarities in our cultire and music.
The concert is powered by Empire entertainment and Media GH and sponsored by MTN and RLG.

I SUSPECT MY HUSBAND IS BI-SEXUAL

I have very, very strong suspicions that my husband is bi-sexual and i don't know what to do about it. whether to confront him, pray about it or just give up on the marriage. we have a kid together.
my husband was never the type that was too interested in women, even while we were dating. i never had to fight off any girl or caught him cheating with anyone. after we got married, i noticed i was always the one to approach him for sex, never the other way round and that got me a bit worried - he had never been an overly sexual person but when we were single he at least tried to make the first move once in a while.
I started getting suspicious when he started hanging out with a new friend, some guy i was never comfortable with from day one. his friend started frequenting the house and they got along so well to my exclusion but i just let them be, after all i had girlfriends too and he did not have a problem with them so i kept quiet. I went out one day and came back to meet my husband and his friend shirtless in the living room sitting very close to each other on the couch and it just clicked, all my suspicions came together and i finally let myself believe he was gay. i have not said anything to him about but think he knows i know and is waiting for what my reaction will be.

ANOTHER RAINY DAY IN LAGOS

We woke up to rain again this morning! wahala, everywhere is flooded, this looks like the 7- day rain that was predicted. I'm not going anywhere today, just chilling at home with a hot cup of cocoa. I can authoritatively predict that there will be a boom of little babies exactly nine months from now. The weather is just perfect for that type of productive activity. ha ha ha.

FELA RETURNS TO BROADWAY

The musical ''Fela'' the brainchild of Hip-Hop mogul Jay-z  and acting couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is making a return to Broadway at the Al Hirshfeld Theatre from July 9 to August 4th 2012. The musical was a flyaway success the first time around and is back by popular demand. I hope,hope,hope they bring it to Naija again, ddnt get the chance to see it the last time, will keep my fingers crossed and pray they consider it.

CALIFORNIA COUPLE BUY $4.2M HOUSE AND DEMOLISH IT TO IMPROVE VIEW

A Belvedere, California couple Clark and Sharon Winslow recently bought the house beside theirs for 4.2 million dollars ( N655m). Their reason for buying it - to bring it down so they would have a better view of the California hills from their $19m dollar home! Apparently it's become the in thing for wealthy Americans to buy property adjoining theirs and raze it down to either make a better view or to plant gardens.

There was ''keeping up with the Kardashians'', ''The real housewives'', ''Girls of the playboy mansion'', ''basketball wives'' blah,blah,blah.These shows have most of the characters displaying really petty behaviour, infact, the pettier the better but we still love them. One of the latest reality shows in production is the ''real mistresses of Atlanta'' featuring the lives of Maliah(stripper and ex of Drake) Rosee, Sarah, Mary Jane and Branden. Apparently they are all single and want to show Atlanta's wives a thing or two.

TOM CRUISE AND KATIE HOLMES DIVORCING

Who's as shocked as me??? i guess scientology wasn't going too well for Katie! They had a fairy tale romance with Tom proposing to Katie at the top of the Eiffel tower and married in a castle in italy. They were married five years and had a lovely daughter Suri, who Katie wants sole legal custody of. She filed for divorce in New york on June 28th citing irreconcilable differences.

EXCUSE US - NIGERIA'S LIFE EXPECTANCY LOWEST IN WEST AFRICA

According to the director Nigerian centre for disease control  Professor Abdulsalam Nasid - The life expectancy for the average Nigerian is 47years. The good Professor said it was a situation that was attributable to some health factors, including child and maternal mortality, spread of polio virus and other epidemics.
``One out of every five children die before the age of five years due to polio and other infections''

It's so sad that there are countries with way less resources in West Africa who still manage to use what little they have for the benefit of their citizens.

NIGERIA'S GOT TALENT SHOW DEBUTS

The popular ''got talent'' franchise is debuting in Nigeria finally. The maiden edition of Nigeria's got talent will run from July to December. The show is sponsored by Airtel and auditions start on July 4th. It will be a novel platform for discovering unique talent unlike no other, most talent shows are exclusive to discovering acting and singing talents only, while the got talent franchise is open to a broader range of contestants. Magicians, acrobats, singers have contested in ''got talent'' show U.S edition, so we can expect to see the same here. It should make for good viewing.

BEZ SIGNS RECORDING DEAL WITH UNIVERSAL

Nigerian singer Bez Idakalu of the ''play that stupid song'' fame has scored a music and publishing deal with Universal records. Bez who was described by the BBC as ''the next big talent out of Nigeria'' has garnered critical acclaim for his album Super sun opened for international singing sensation Asa. He was featured in Essence magazines New and next column ,which spotlights new talents the magazine wants their readers to know about. The alternative soul singer is on his way to making the world hear his soulful voice.

 Universal music also just recently signed Psquare, the talented duo behind songs like ''do me'' and ''beautiful Onyinye'' with American rapper Rick Ross.

SONY TO OFFICIALLY RELEASE USHER'S NEW ALBUM IN NIGERIA

Sony music in conjunction with entertainment company MComm has revealed that it plans to release Usher's 7th studio album ''Looking for myself'' in Nigeria. This will be the first release of an international artiste's album in a West African country. The album will be available from the 29th of June in designated outlets nationwide.

Iv heard this and Oprah's reps have confirmed she will be on the show but all the same it's still hard to believe! I don't think she would ever have considered having the Kardashians on the Oprah show, no way! so it's either she is looking for ratings or she must have been stifled by the propriety of the Oprah show and now feels freer to be herself on her new show. Anyways, i'm a fan of Oprah and the Kardashian girls, so it's all good TV to me.

CHIBUNDU ONUZO WINS BEST BLACK STUDENT OF 2012

She signed a two-book deal with publishing heavy weight Faber&Faber when she was only 19 and still an undergraduate at Kings college London, becoming their youngest ever female author. CNN did a profile on her as part of the channel's coverage of Nigeria at 50. She was also longlisted for the 10,000 Pound Desmond Elliot prize for her book ''The spider king's daughter''. The Desmond Elliot prize is the foremost literary recognition for debut writers. As if all  that was not enough, Chibundu added another feather to her cap by winning the UK's best black student. She was given the accolade at a ceremony at the house of parliament on Thursday, 7th June, 2012.

SPICE GIRLS RE-UNITE IN LONDON FOR ''VIVA FOREVER'' MUSICAL

The members of 90's girl power, super group ''spice girls'' were in London to announce details of a musical based on their songs, a story of fame and friendship that will start showing in the fall.
''Viva forever'' tells the story of four friends whose friendship is tested when their band enters a TV talent show.

Hit rapper Ice-prince Zamani and Azonto singer Wizkid were both nominated for best international act in the African category. They will be facing stiff competion for the award with the likes of Sarkodie( Ghana), Lira(South africa), Makobe(Mali) and Camp mulla(Kenya).
 Kanye West had seven nominations while Jayz had five between them for ''The Throne'' project. They were nominated for best goup, best video for ''Niggaz in paris'' and ''Otis'', best collaboration for ''Otis'' and Coca-cola viewers choice award.
